语法总结——特殊句式

强调

强调就是把重要信息准确突出的进行传递：

• 口语中可以通过重音、拉长音、手势动作等表示强调
• 书面语中可以通过特殊句式——It is …… that ……表示强调

强调句的写法很简单——将需要强调的部分放入强调句式it is …… that中间，其余部分放入that后。

注：在强调句式中，不能够强调形容词与动词。

强调句的变化

在强调句中，可以通过谓语动词和引导词来表示不同的强调句：

• 谓语动词的变化：
  • 强调现在的事情，使用is
  • 强调过去的事情，使用was
• 引导词的变化：
  • 不论强调的是什么成分，都可以用that
  • 强调的成分是人，可以用who替换that

例句1

It was only after I started to write a weekly column about the medical journals, and began to read scientific papers from beginning to end, that I realised just how bad much of the medical literature frequently was.(2019, Reading Comprehension, Part C)

在这一句中，强调的部分为：

• only after I started to write a weekly column about the medical journals, and began to read scientific papers from beginning to end,
• 强调的事情为过去的事情，因此强调句的谓语动词使用的是was；
• 强调的成分为时间状语从句，因此强调句的引导词使用的是that

例句2

It is they, not America, who have become anti-intellectual.(2006, Reading Comprehension, Part C)

在这一句中，强调的部分为：

• they, not America,
• 强调的事情为现在的事情，因此强调句的谓语动词使用的是is；
• 强调的成分为人，因此强调句的引导词使用的是who，这里的引导词也可以用that替代；

强调句与主语从句后置

it is …… that …… 句式不一定是强调句，也可能是主语从句后置，具体的区分方式有两种：

• 一是根据强调句的原理进行区分：
  • it is …… that 被去掉后，余下的部分还能还原成一个完整的句子，则为强调句；
  • it is …… that 被去掉后，余下的部分不能还原成一个完整的句子，则为主语从句后置；
• 二是根据强调的成分进行区分：
  • it is …… that中间为形容词或者动词时，该句为主语从句后置，it作为形式主语
  • it is …… that中间为其它成分时，该句为强调句

例句1

当我们将it is …… that去掉后，余下的部分为：

• this implicit or explicit reference to nature fully justifies the use of word garden

在余下的部分中，个句子成分分别为：

• 主语：this implicit or explicit reference to nature
  • 指示代词this 修饰名词reference
  • 选择并列连词or连接形容词implicit 和 explicit表示二选一
  • 名词reference作为该部分的核心词
  • 介词短语to nature作为后置定语修饰名词reference
• 谓语：fully justifies
  • 副词fully修饰谓语动词justifies
• 宾语：the use of word garden
  • 定冠词the修饰名词use

在这一句中，it is …… that 中间为形容词，因此该句不是强调句，而是主语从句后置。

第一步：找谓语
