Filecoin为何要推迟大矿工奖励测试网络？

六月，在胡安对话全球矿工的AMA中，胡安被问到filecoin主网是否能按时上线时，胡安说主网的上线时间在2020年7月20日至2020年8月21日期间。

然而我们知道就在上周7月11日，在Filecoin官方社区Slack中，开发负责人Why说Filecoin大矿工400万奖励测试网或将要推迟一到两周时间。原因是因为他收到很多矿工的来信反馈希望官方能够在大矿工奖励测试前再给多一点时间充分准备。

如果是这样的话，大矿工测试网的启动时间将会有可能和Filecoin主网上线时间冲突，随后在Slack社区中，创始人胡安表示不会压缩奖励测试和主网上线的时间。

意思是，如果大矿工奖励测试推迟，那么主网上线时间也会推迟。

无论哪种方案，官方的首要任务是启动安全稳定且成功的网络。

事实上，我们都知道启动Filecoin网络难度系数很大，作为分布式存储项目，牵涉到很多最前沿知识技术以及监管问题，比如经济激励制度，密码学等问题。

特别Filecoin是去中心化存储的激励层，它是未来的选择，经历在漫长的研究也值得等待，它唯一怕的就是出错，所以步步谨慎、步步为赢。

为此，对矿工的硬件配置软件开发以及运维水平都要求极高。随着主网上线时间的临近，大部分矿工的矿机还没有生产好。

所以我们在官方的slack社区中回复why的留言里，大多数矿工诉求是希望能够延期以便为大矿工测试网做好准备。

100% agree to delay a week or two! The testnet incentive competition should be a formal rehearsal of the mainnet. That being said, the code should be stable, secure and finalized. The incentivized testnet shall not be used for bug-discovery. Particularly, many cryptoecon parameters have not been finalized and tested yet. I think a testnet phase III should be conducted before the incentivized testnet.

Security is the gate of the mainnet launch. Critical bugs  ruin everything. And, testing is very necessary step to find and help fixing issues, especially the test at the similar scale as mainnet, which I think it is one purpose of  the incentive competition.

It looks now we are expecting there is no critical issues found in the incentive competition and hoping it goes smoothly. If that is the case, I would like to suggest having another bug hunting incentive program before the SpaceRace, which could be delayed for one or two weeks. Especially the bugs only could be found in stress testing, to encourage miners joining to help stabilise the code.

one or two weeks delay about incentive  test would be better.because not only the the filecoin team need more time to improve the lotus code,but also most of the miners need more time to Adjust the machine to fit the lotus code.

It would be nice for miners to read through documents, then participate the workshop afterward. +1And then, the new code need more stress testing. for now, test2 total power is about 20PiB(just 2 miner’s power is >1PiB). It is not enough for the mainnet.so one or two weeks delay about incentive test would be better.

2 weeks delay would be better! The testnet incentive competition need more tester. Currently many miners is not ready (hardware puchasing, environment setupping, software developping). And we need more time for bug discovering. A testnet phase III should be nice before the incentivized testnet. We all expect the mainnet stable, secure and most miners are ready for it.

由于本次测试是全球范围内的测试，想要获得更高的收益必须要在全球进行布局。但是全球范围内疫情原因，导致设备短缺、人才短缺，多数矿工对于全球的准备并不充分。

尤其是在南美洲、非洲、大洋洲更是节点稀少、竞争压力小，甚至想要开启区域奖励都极为困难，所以更需要花时间准备，全球区域奖励相同的机制也促成了本次延期。

其次本次延期后，官方特意拿出10万FIL币作为额外奖励，所以对于大矿工来讲，是有利于提高积极性。

但项目延期的主要原因还是由于Filecoin整个项目的开发难度巨大，作为一个非常庞大的公链项目，尤其是测试网上线后，参与测试的矿工数量众多，数据量庞大，涉及非常复杂的计算，网络上的各种问题也都逐渐显现出来，所以需要一步步去修复和完善。

事实上，从技术角度来说，延期并不是什么坏事，毕竟Filecoin并不是一个为了发币而发币，为了挖矿而挖矿，而是希望主网上线后Filecoin能够快速实现商用，所以项目延期，也是为了在主网上线前把Filecoin的基础打牢，这样Filecoin在主网上线后走的更稳、走的更远，大家的投资才会有更稳健的回报。

Filecoin虽然经历了数次延期，但是前期主要是市场在炒作，在2019年2月14日代码开源之后，官方基本上每个季度会根据项目进度更新项目线路图，而且进展也相对比较顺利。Filecoin网络非常复杂，只有在逐步的测试中去发现问题解决问题。

随着算法的确定，目前Filecoin网络的核心功能基本已经开发完成了，尤其是在二测重启后，主要就是修复一些bug和漏洞。最后这两个月的测试基本就是安全性、稳定性和压力测试，如果在即将开始的为期三周的大矿工测试中，网络没有出现重大的bug或者漏洞，测试激励竞赛结束后2-3周主网将预计能够顺利上线。

总的来说，目前主网已经进入最后的倒计时阶段了！
